ACTIVITY DETAILS
Activity overview
2nd Orange scouts and venturers are invited to join others from TGW Region for a weekend of activities at Camp Canobolas. This is a social camp to build or re-engage friendships with scouting youth from other Scout Groups.
Arrival time is flexible! Arrival can be when it fits with your family and the youth member's needs. The abseil tower will only operate from 0800-1130 on Saturday. Saturday afternoon activities are still being organised. Sunday morning likely a bushwalk on Mt Canobolas.
The Golden West Region Annual Reporting Meeting (ARM) will be happening on Saturday from 12-3 and some leaders will be tied up with that. Youth are not expected to attend and there will be other leaders running activities during that time.
Don't want to camp overnight? That is possible - please discuss with John asap.
2nd Orange is to organise their own tenting, catering and supervision. Brock Piper will be the 2nd Orange leader responsible for our youth during the event. Brock will be assisted by parent, Begs Lund.
Essential youth are warm - additional bedding to supplement sleeping bags. Closed in shoes - ideally 2 pair. See the attached equipment checklist. Other logistics to be discussed Tuesday night.
Bring packed lunch for Saturday. Dinner Saturday, breakfast and lunch Sunday included in cost.
