ACTIVITY DETAILS

Activity overview

The Cubs will be attending a national Park for purposes of an overnight camp with bushwalking to help build their skills in navigation and Camp craft along with learning what is required for successful camping in the forest.

Terarra Creek is approximately 1Hr from Orange with plenty of opportunity for skill building.

All participants are required to stay on-site for the duration of the activity. 

Any non-members that may be present are 100% responsible for themselves or by their immediate care giver.

HEALTH, SAFETY & HYGIENE

Participants should not attend if they are unwell or showing symptoms of illness.

Participants may be sent home if they become unwell during the event.

BEHAVIOUR & PARTICIPATION EXPECTATIONS

Behaviour standards
This event will be using the patrol system and buddy system. Participants are required to stay with the group, with the exception of needing to use the amentiies, in this situation, they must go with a buddy and ensure that the patrol leader is aware of their whereabouts.

All participants are expected to behave responsibly and respectfully at all times, in accordance with the Scouts Code of Conduct, the Scout Promise and Law, and relevant federal and state laws.

Participants may be sent home in the case of non-compliance with the expected standards of behavior.

• Warm Sleeping bag (5C or better Comfort Rating)
• Sleeping Mat/Stretcher
• Head torch + spare batteries
• Pillow
• Teddy
• Camp Blanket

• Tent (optional)
• Clothes for 2 Days + Spare set
• Hiking/Bushwalking Pack
• Drink Bottle
• Hat
• Enclosed Shoes 
• Small personal First Aid Kit

Participants must NOT bring
Any food - This is covered in the camp cost. 

Phones / Tablets - there is no requirement unless directly exempted by the activity coordinator.

Responsibility for personal items is the sole responsibility of the participant and/or their parent/guardian. Under no circumstances will Leaders be responsible for safe keeping, loss or damage to items.
